Cathay Pacific improves service

Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific has upgraded its First Class product with a number of new features and added an extra daily flight from the UK.

Cathay Pacific recently upgraded its First Class service with a refurbishment of the cabin and the introduction of a number of new features, using London-based architects Foster + Partners.

The  improvements include new leather surfaces, hand-crafted sculptural artworks, LCD touch-screen controllers, Bose noise-cancelling headphones and iPhone/iPod connectors that allow passengers to watch video through their own devices.

The airline also added a fifth daily flight between London and Hong Kong in June.

Cathay Pacific chief executive John Slosar said: "We are offering our customers… products that are second to none, including our new long-haul Business Class, winner of the Skytrax Best Business Class in the world award. Second, people and service that have earned us recognition as a five-star airline. And third, the choice to travel when it is convenient with multiple frequencies throughout the day."
