Mövenpick opens new resort in Colombo Sri Lanka

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has opened a new property in the Sri Lankan city of Colombo.

The 24-floor Mövenpick Hotel Colombo is the first international five-star property to open in the city in 25 years. Characterised by modern architecture, every floor of the 219-room hotel offers a different experience for guests. The property offers the largest executive lounge and rooms in the city, as well as a dedicated business traveller reception, five meeting rooms and a boardroom.

Located in the heart of Colombo's business, commercial and political district, close to the city's famous 'Pola' - the bustling local market - and several historical sites, the property's open-plan design gives a sense of space.

Rooms and suites feature wall to ceiling windows, while a rooftop bar offers guests the chance to take in the city views. There are seven creative bar and restaurant concepts to choose from including a pool bar. Guests can also enjoy a fully-equipped gym and relaxation at Spa Ceylon.
